Frequently Asked Questions

What is the SBA?

The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the student government of Chicago-Kent College of Law. It is comprised of the entire student body and represents both the day and evening divisions. Each class annually elects multiple representatives, including an Executive Board, to the SBA Board of Governors. The Board of Governors meets on a regular basis to manage and discuss the affairs of the SBA and over thirty student organizations.

Through the Board of governors, the SBA serves as an advocate for your interests. The SBA works to enhance the law school experience and to provide opportunities to voice concerns regarding the curriculum, the administration, and general concerns. The SBA also sponsors several social events throughout the year, including speaker events and Law Week. The SBA also plans the annual law school formal, the Barrister’s Ball.
